Courtney Bovee, MD, is a board-certified ophthalmologist, glaucoma specialist, specializing in comprehensive ophthalmology, glaucoma and anterior segment disease. Serving the Tampa Bay area.
Courtney Bovee, MD, is a Board-Certified Ophthalmologist with Fellowship training in Glaucoma from Harvard Medical School. Serving the Tampa Bay, Florida area, Dr. Bovee provides all forms of glaucoma support for The Macula Center patients, including state-of-the-art surgical and laser techniques and the most modern medical glaucoma treatments. In addition to glaucoma, she also specializes in anterior segment eye conditions and disease.
Dr. Bovee received her medical degree from University of South Florida. In addition to Harvard Medical School, she completed a fellowship at Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary in Boston. Her residencies were completed at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, VA and UCLA Harbor.
In 2022, Dr. Bovee made The Ophthalmologist Power List, Honoring 100 of the most influential people in the world of ophthalmology. She also earned the Michael R. Redmond Outstanding Young Ophthalmologist Award, in recognition of leadership, service, competence and devotion to the high ethical and professional standards. Dr. Bovee also received the Florida Society of Ophthalmology Outstanding Young Ophthalmologist Leadership Award.
Prior to joining The Macula Center and Blue Ocean Clinical Research Center, Dr. Bovee served as Glaucoma Surgeon, Refractive Cataract Surgeon and Anterior Segment Specialist at Newsom Eye. Prior to that, she served as the Glaucoma Surgeon, Refractive Cataract Surgeon and Anterior Segment Specialist at Mid Florida Eye Center.
